Since graduating from university in 2001 as a Registered Nurse, Alex has worked throughout the UK and Australia in tertiary trauma and critical care facilities. Working the majority of her nursing career in providing clinical care to critically sick and injured patients in intensive care, Alex has witnessed the consequences of how chronic conditions, injuries and mental health, affects ones quality of life. Prior to this she worked as a pharmacy assistant and gained an interest in how medicines effect the body. Most recently, Alex has branched out of the hospital environment and thoroughly enjoys supporting patients interested in accessing natural medicines for a variety of ailments via telehealth.

Her interest in this field of health care has lead her to attending the most recent United in Compassion (UIC) symposiums held in Australia in 2022 and 2023, and is excited to see how much research and awareness in Australia has grown over the last 12 months.

In her spare time, Alex loves the beach, trail running, gardening and cleaning up after her 2 young children and dog.
